Summer movie deals in Tri-Cities? See which theaters have free, discounted tickets

While hot summer weather in Washington state means plenty of outdoor activities, the sweltering heat might encourage you to spend some time indoors.

Stopping at the movie theater is a great way to enjoy air-conditioned entertainment with the entire family.

To help you save, movie theaters in Tri-Cities are offering summer deals.

Here’s what we know:

What is summer movie deal at AMC Theatres locations?

AMC Theatres is hosting a Summer Movie Camp promotion, with discounted tickets for family-friendly movies every Monday and Wednesday.

The promotion runs from Monday, June 22 and Wednesday, Aug. 12.

According to AMC, a portion of the proceeds will go toward the Will Rogers Motion Picture Pioneers Foundation.

A different movie will be featured each week, with multiple showings on camp days. Tickets are only $3.

There is one AMC Theatres location in Tri-Cities, at 1380 North Louisiana St. in Kennewick.

Are there discounts on snacks?

Along with discounted movie tickets, a kids concessions pack costs only $6.29 during the Summer Movie Camp promotion.

The kids pack includes a kid-sized popcorn, fruit snacks and a bottled water.

How can I watch family movies for free in Tri-Cities?

The Free Summer Movie Series is returning to Fairchild Cinemas, 5020 Convention Drive in Pasco.

Sponsored by Gesa Credit Union, the promotion features multiple no-cost showings of family-friendly films every Wednesday and Thursday from Wednesday, June 17, to Thursday, Aug. 13.

Doors open at 9 a.m., with movies starting every 15 minutes until 10 a.m.

A sensory-friendly movie experience will start at 9:20 each day of the series.
