Free dental care and skin cancer screenings are being offered in March by Tri-Cities health care providers.

West Richland Family Dental Center is holding its annual free dental cay 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, March 7. It is at 4476 W. Van Giesen St. in West Richland.

Participants can pick one service — a cleaning, filling or tooth extraction.

Care is provided on a first-come, first-served basis by staff and community volunteers.

The free skin cancer screenings are being offered 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday, March 13, at DermaHealth Dermatology and Dermasurgery. It is at 1295 Fowler St., Suite 102, Richland.

Skin cancer affects one in five Americans in their lifetime and early detection is crucial.

The screenings are quick, painless and potentially lifesaving, says DermaHealth.

Appointments may be made by calling 509-783-2004 and walk-ins also will be accommodated as space allows.
