The Grammys are nearly here. How to watch Eastern WA artist with 3 nominations
You can find good music — and talented musicians — anywhere.
However, some hotspots are breeding grounds for quality music, as evidenced by the nominees for the 2026 Grammy Awards.
While a plethora of nominated artists hail from major musical cities including Los Angeles, New York City and Nashville, Tennessee, others have hometowns in Washington state.
That includes an up-and-coming country star who grew up the east of the Cascades.
Here’s what to know.
When are the 2026 Grammy Awards? How can I watch?
The 68th annual Grammy Awards are Sunday, Feb. 1, from 5 to 8:30 p.m. Pacific Time.
The prestigious award ceremony will be held at the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles and hosted by Trevor Noah.
The Grammys will air live on CBS and Paramount+.

That website and the Recording Academy’s YouTube channel will be the only places to watch the preshow Premiere Ceremony where many awards will be given out, according to the Recording Academy.
Who is performing at the 2026 Grammy Awards?
The Recording Academy has several performances planned for the 68th annual Grammy Awards.
One segment will feature all artists nominated for Best New Artist in 2026: Addison Rae, Alex Warren, KATSEYE, Leon Thomas, Lola Young, Olivia Dean, sombr and The Marías.
Some Grammys performers will include:
- Sabrina Carpenter
- Clipse and Pharrell Williams
- Justin Bieber
- Bruno Mars
- Lady Gaga
- ROSÉ
Several tribute performances are planned, according to the Recording Academy.
Those include performances by Ms. Lauryn Hill in honor of D’Angelo and Roberta Flack, and Post Malone, Andrew Watt, Chad Smith, Duff McKagan and Slash in honor of Ozzy Osbourne.
Eastern Washington country star nominated for Grammy Awards
A country star from Eastern Washington received three nominations for the 68th annual Grammy Awards.
Zach Top spent his formative years in Sunnyside and Pasco. He’s now based in Nashville and signed to independent label Leo33.
Top is nominated for Best Country Song and Best Country Solo Performance for his song “I Never Lie,” plus Best Traditional Country Album for “Ain’t In It For My Health.”
According to the Recording Academy, the nominees for Best Traditional Country Album of 2025 are:
- “Dollar A Day” by Charley Crockett
- “American Romance” by Lukas Nelson
- “Oh What A Beautiful World” by Willie Nelson
- “Hard Headed Woman” by Margo Price
- “Ain’t In It For My Health” by Zach Top
The nominees for Best Country Solo Performance are:
- “Nose on the Grindstone” by Tyler Childers
- “Good News” by Shaboozey
- “Bad As I Used To Be [From F1 The Movie]” by Chris Stapleton
- “I Never Lie” by Zach Top
- “Somewhere Over Laredo” by Lainey Wilson
Here’s who is nominated for Best Country Song:
- “Bitin’ List” by Tyler Childers
- “Good News” by Michael Ross Pollack, Sam Elliot Roman and Jacob Torrey, performed by Shaboozey
- “I Never Lie” by Carson Chamberlain, Tim Nichols and Zach Top, performed by Zach Top
- “Somewhere Over Laredo” by Andy Albert, Trannie Anderson, Dallas Wilson and Lainey Wilson, performed by Lainey Wilson
- “A Song To Sing” by Jenee Fleenor, Jesse Frasure, Miranda Lambert and Chris Stapleton, performed by Miranda Lambert and Chris Stapleton
Which artists from Washington state are Grammy nominees?
Multiple other artists from the Evergreen State received Grammy nominations, all hailing Western Washington.
Seattle native Brandi Carlile received two nominations: Best Traditional Pop Vocal Album for “Who Believes in Angels” and Best Song Written For Visual Media for “Never Too Late,” from the documentary “Elton John: Never Too Late.”
Carlile shares both of those nominations with Elton John.
Other Grammy nominees from Seattle include multi-award winner Dmitriy Lipay, for Classical Producer of the Year and Best Classical Compendium for his work on “Ortiz: Yanga.”
Vocal group säje was nominated for Best Instruments and Vocals Arrangement for “Big Fish” with Nate Smith, and The Westerlies earned a nomination for Best Instrumental or A Cappella Arrangement for “Fight On.”
A handful of other artists from the Seattle area also had Grammy nominations.
Where can I see Zach Top in concert?
While Top will be touring in Europe early in 2026, there will be opportunities to catch the country singer-songwriter in the Pacific Northwest later this year.
Most notably, the Pendleton Whisky Music Fest will feature Zach Top and Shaboozey on July 11.
