Powerball ticket sold in Tri-Cities wins $50,000. Here’s where it was purchased

Two Eastern Washington residents are $50,000 richer thanks to winning Powerball tickets, according to lottery officials.

One of the lucky tickets was sold in Tri-Cities.

The winning tickets missed the $633 million jackpot but still won big in the drawing on Saturday, Nov. 22, a spokesperson for Washington’s Lottery told McClatchy Media via email.

The winning tickets matched four white balls and the red Powerball, according to the national Powerball website.

Where were winning Powerball tickets sold?

A total of three Powerball tickets sold in Washington state took home $50,000 apiece in Saturday’s drawing.

One winning ticket was sold at A Street Station, 2805 East A St. in Pasco, lottery officials said.

Another lucky ticket was purchased at a Hico gas station at 403 South Park St. in Chewalah near Spokane, while the other was bought at Chevron, 4814 Center St. in Tacoma.

Officials said the lottery tickets sold in Tacoma and Chewelah won during the regular Powerball drawing.

Pasco’s winner paid $1 extra to participate in the Double Play drawing, resulting in their win.

Washington’s Lottery says there is a one in 913,000 chance of winning the $50,000 Double Play prize.

What were the winning Powerball numbers?

The winning numbers for Saturday’s Powerball drawing were 28, 32, 36, 51, 69 and a Powerball of 02.

The Power Play multiplier was two.

No one took home the $629 million jackpot, so the biggest possible payout keeps rising.

Tickets sold in Georgia and Oklahoma won $1 million each, the national Powerball website said, but no one in Washington took home that sizable prize.

The winning Double Play numbers were 05, 06, 24, 44, 58 and a Powerball of 12, according to the site.

No lucky lottery winner took home the $10 million Double Play jackpot, and no one in Washington state won the $500,000 prize.

The Pasco winner got the Double Play drawing’s biggest win of the night.

How does Washington’s Lottery Powerball work?

Washington’s Lottery does Powerball drawings three times a week. They’re followed by Double Play drawings a half-hour later.

For another extra dollar, winnings can be multiplied by up to 10 through the Power Play.

To participate in the Powerball, players pick five numbers between 1 and 69, and one Powerball number between 1 and 26.

Drawings are at 7:59 p.m. every Monday, Wednesday and Saturday.
