Powerball ticket sold in Tri-Cities wins $100,000. Here’s where it was purchased
A Powerball ticket purchased at a Tri-Cities grocery store won $100,000 in the Sept. 27 drawing, lottery officials said.
Because the player bought a Power Play add-on, the $50,000 prize turned into $100,000, a spokesperson for Washington’s Lottery said in an email.
The winning ticket was sold at Richland Fred Meyer at 101 Wellsian Way, lottery officials said.
Washington’s Lottery says there is a one in 913,000 chance of winning this prize.
What were the winning Powerball numbers?
The winning numbers for the Sept. 27 drawing were 10, 16, 32, 61 and 66, and the Powerball was 4, according to the national Powerball website.
Nationwide, no one took home the grand prize.
However, nearly 580,000 other Powerball tickets sold in the United States netted smaller amounts ranging from $4 to $100,000, McClatchy News reported.
It’s been nearly a month since someone won the Powerball jackpot.
On Sept. 6, players in Missouri and Texas split the $1.787 billion grand prize, lottery officials said.

How does Power Play work?
For an additional $1 per game, participants can win two, three, four, five or 10 times their payout for non-jackpot winning Powerball tickets.
At each Powerball drawing, one multiplier is randomly chosen for the Power Play, according to the lottery.
The 10-times multiplier is only available on certain advertised jackpots.
Jackpot winners are excluded from the Power Play, according to Washington’s Lottery. Anyone with a Power Play purchase that matches all five white balls automatically wins $2 million, regardless of the chosen multiplier.
