21-year-old Pasco man dies in car in front of busy Kennewick store

A 21-year-old Pasco man died by suicide in the busy parking lot outside of At Home on Thursday.

The man, whose name has not been released, shot himself inside a car in the parking lot of the shopping center at 867 Columbia Center Boulevard, said Benton County Lead Deputy Coroner Nicole Lee said.

A family member found him about 3:15 p.m. and called 911.

The popular home goods store closed Thursday afternoon because of the death.
