Rising música Mexicana star is bringing tour benefiting LA firefighters to Tri-Cities
One rising Latin music artist has announced a second North American tour leg in order to support the Los Angeles Fire Department. Ivan Cornejo’s 27-city tour leg follows a massive year for the artist, and includes a show in Tri-Cities.
While Cornejo has drawn an audience since the release of his first album, 2024 was his biggest year yet. The release of his album “Mirada” brought the young artist his first Number One spot on the Billboard Latin Albums Chart last summer, and an appearance on NPR’s Tiny Desk series.
Now, he’s garnered more than 5.2 billion combined streams, according to a recent press release.
“His dreamy music – a sophisticated combination of sad sierreño and hazy, alternative-rock vibes – resonates with a younger generation who identify with bicultural sensibility, quiet demeanor, and the need to let his music speak for itself,” states the press release.
Ivan Cornejo’s Mirada Tour
Cornejo announced the second North American leg of his Mirada Tour following a successful first leg in fall 2024. To kick off the tour leg, the música Mexicana artist will perform at Coachella for the first time.
After Coachella, Cornejo will visit more than two dozen cities, with multiple stops in the PNW, including a performance at Tri-Cities’ own Toyota Center.
A portion of proceeds from the tour’s ticket sales will be donated to the Los Angeles Fire Department Foundation to support LAFD firefighters during the wildfires currently devastating the Los Angeles area, according to the press release.
“This tour has truly felt like a celebration, and while I’m thrilled to bring all of our hard work to life, I think it’s important now more than ever to bring a sense of community,” Cornejo stated in the press release.
“With the devastating wildfires these past few weeks, it’s times like this that being close to my fans becomes especially important to me. Together with my team, we’ve decided to donate a portion of the proceeds from our ticket sales to the Los Angeles Fire Department Foundation and we encourage people to join in and help mend California.”
The Tri-Cities performance is scheduled for June 8 at the Toyota Center. General sales begin at 10 a.m. on Jan. 24, with prices beginning at $43.
