When preparing a large meal, one of the worst things that can happen is finding out you’re missing an integral ingredient. It can make the timing of the whole meal off just to track down that one missing ingredient.

Even worse is when you’re missing an ingredient on a holiday, when many stores are closed and it might not be possible to buy it in time.

Don’t fret, there are several grocery stores open in Tri-Cities this Thanksgiving. Here’s where you’ll be able to shop on Thanksgiving and Black Friday.

Tri-Cities grocery store hours on Thanksgiving

Some grocery stores are closed all day, some have adjusted hours and some are operating on normal schedules.

▪ Closed on Thanksgiving

Several stores are closed on Thanksgiving Day, reopening for special Black Friday hours.

Costco is closed on Thursday and open from 9 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. on Black Friday.

Both the local Target and Walmart locations will be closed on Thanksgiving, reopening at 6 a.m. the following morning.

▪ Adjusted holiday hours

Fred Meyer locations are closing early on Thanksgiving, and store hours will be from 6 a.m. to 4 p.m. The stores are also opening one hour early on Black Friday, with store hours from 5 a.m. to 10 p.m.

Winco’s normal 24-hours of operation will be restricted for the holidays. The stores will close at 2:30 p.m. on Thanksgiving Day and reopen at 7 a.m. on Black Friday.

Yoke’s locations are opening regularly on Thanksgiving at 5 a.m., but closing early at 3 p.m. The stores will reopen for regular hours, 5 a.m. to midnight, on Black Friday.

All Safeway locations in Tri-Cities will be open for regular hours, from 5 a.m. to midnight.

Albertsons will also operate on regular hours, from 5 a.m. to midnight both days.
