Two-time Olympic gold medalist and FIFA Women’s World Cup champion Brandi Chastain conducted a soccer skill clinic at the Boys & Girls Club of Benton and Franklin Counties site in Kennewick.

Several dozen local youth, ages 12 to 18, took part in the the afternoon soccer skills clinic conducted by Chastain on Friday.

She demonstrated basic soccer skills, such as dribbling and passing, with all the participants.

The soccer legend was visiting the Tri-Cities for the Boys & Girls Club’s annual fundraising event Dinner with Friends, which was held later in the evening at the Three Rivers Convention Center in Kennewick.

The Dinner with Friends event is the premier corporate fundraising event for the Boys & Girls Clubs of Benton and Franklin Counties.

Proceeds from the event support the more than 3,000 youth served annually at local Boys & Girls Clubs.
