Tri-Cities Chaplaincy flag raising ceremony honors Veterans Day

Honor Guard members of the Glenn M. Sickles Post 34 of Kennewick & Pasco American Legion unfold a new U.S. Flag during a Veterans Day ceremony by the Tri-Cities Chaplaincy in Richland.

The event was attended by a couple dozen Tri-Cities Chaplaincy staff members and volunteers.

Several Veterans Day events are scheduled n Saturday in Pasco and West Richland.

The 2023 Veterans Affairs Regional Site Veterans Day Parade begins at 9:30 a.m in downtown West Richland.

It’s followed by a chili feed and raffle winner announcement at Flat Top Park.

A special ceremony is also planned at 12:30 p.m. at Pasco City View Cemetery.

The keynote speaker is Washington state Sen. Matt Boehnke of Tri-Cities.
