$3.8M Steptoe-Gage intersection project on track

Work continues on the Steptoe Street and Gage Boulevard intersection improvement project in Kennewick.

The project, which started earlier this year, features widened intersection corners and upgraded turn lanes to dual left-turn lanes and single right-turn lanes in all directions.

New curbs, gutters, wider sidewalks, retaining walls and landscaping are also included in the $3.8 million project.

Lighting and the traffic signals also will be improved.

The overlay paving and traffic islands installation are scheduled in the next couple of weeks.

Apollo is the general contractor on the project expected to be completed by January 2024.
