Update: Kennewick police cancel Silver Alert. Missing veteran has been found and is safe

Update: Kennewick police said a 73-year-old veteran that had been missing since Sunday was found safe Friday afternoon.

Kennewick Police were asking for help finding a missing senior citizen who went to visit a friend he served with in Vietnam.

A silver alert was issued on Friday for Juste Anca, 73, of Kennewick, who had been missing since leaving his home in the 3700 block of W. 12th Ave. around 8 p.m. on Sunday, Aug. 13.

Anca told his wife he was going to visit a friend in Basin City that he served with in the Vietnam War and has not answered phone calls or text messages since. He has health issues and needs medication that he didn’t take with him.

Just after 3:30 p.m. Friday, Kennewick Police said he had been found and is safe.
