It’s common to have a local culture surrounding area drivers. Maybe a city boasts its safe drivers, or a town says it’s known for its speed, while another city claims it has the most polite drivers.

Whatever the story, local drivers tend to get judged and labeled as one large group.

Residents of Tri-Cities have self-identified as an area with notably bad drivers. Spokane and Seattle label themselves similarly. It’s become increasingly common to see community Facebook groups where area residents can post bad driving examples they encounter.

In fact, one of the most popular Tri-Cities-wide Facebook pages is “Tri-Cities Bad Driver Shaming.” It currently has more than 51,000 members.

Similarly, Spokane’s “Spokan’t Drive” group is fairly popular, with more than 28,500 members.
