Searching for a job in a “boomtown” such as Tri-Cities is hard enough without the abnormally large percentage of engineering jobs. Job hunting can feel like a lot of weeding through listings you’re not qualified for.

The Tri-City Herald has compiled a list of open positions in Tri-Cities offering at least $70,000 a year that do not require an advanced degree.

Most of these listings include further mention of preferred qualifications. If you meet the requirements but not the preferred qualifications, you can still apply for the position. Items listed under preferred qualifications are typically negotiable.

It is also worth noting that many industries with listed degree requirements will consider equivalent work experience in lieu of a degree. These instances have, in general, been omitted from this list, but if you have relevant work experience for a job you want, consider presenting how that experience compensates for the degree in your cover letter.
