Hanford highway roundabout construction expected to cause delays this week

Drivers make their way through the partially-built roundabout at the intersection of Highway 240, Highway 225 and Hanford Route 10 Wednesday north of Richland.

The lanes to Highway 225 and Route 10 will be close at 6 p.m. Thursday, June 7, and reopen at 4 a.m. on June 12.

Highway 240 will remain open in both directions but will not have access to the Hanford site or Benton City, according to a Washington State Department of Transportation.

Visitors accessing Horn Rapids County Park or Rattlesnake Mountain Shooting Complex will need to take Highway 225 through Benton City.

Travelers accessing Richland from Benton City will need take Interstate 82 and I-182.
