Tri-Cities Bed, Bath & Beyond is closing. Here’s the list of others in the region
Bed, Bath and Beyond hadn’t even finished closing their last round of stores when they announced a new round of 150 closures on Wednesday. This time, the Tri-Cities location of the store didn’t survive the culling.
It comes just a week after the Union Bulletin reported that the Walla Walla Bed, Bath and Beyond would be shuttered in a round of 87 closures. The Moscow, Idaho, Vancouver, Bellingham and Issaquah stores also will be closed.
Signs are already going up announcing the closing at the Tri-Cities location at 1220 N. Columbia Center Boulevard in Kennewick.
According to NBC News, the company announced the closures in a regulatory filing. They also said they had raised $1 billion to avoid bankruptcy for the time being. NBC put their recent closures at a total of 290 stores under the Bed, Bath and Beyond, Buy Buy Baby and Harmon brands.
The Associated Press reports that in the past year the company has shuttered nearly half its stores, and plans to keep open only 360 Bed, Bath and Beyond stores and 120 Buy Buy Baby stores. The Harmon brand will shutter entirely.
It’s unclear when the Tri-Cities location will shut its doors.
