Fire spread quickly to char 2 downtown Pasco businesses

Two downtown Pasco businesses were boarded up Tuesday after a dramatic fire caused extensive damage.

Reports came in starting about 7:15 p.m. Monday of flames coming from the front of Recuerdos Luisa, a party supply and clothing store, and Curiosidade El Colibri on the 500 block of West Clark Street.

The caller told dispatchers that people were evacuating the building, according to dispatch traffic. No injuries were reported.

Firefighters stopped the blaze from spreading to the nearby businesses on the block, then quickly were able to start putting the fire out inside, according to dispatch reports.

The cause of the fire is not yet known.
