Business is booming in the Tri-Cities. Some local favorites got new owners, new names and new menus, and others are looking toward the next step in growing their businesses. Check out these new places to grab a bite, some coffee and more.

Beauty and Beans

A new drivethru coffee shop has opened in Finley.

Beauty and Beans Espresso is now open at 25001 S. Haney Rd. near the intersection of Chemical Drive, in the old home of Yummy Coffee.

They’re open Monday through Friday from 5 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Saturdays from 5 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Menu items include traditional coffee and espresso based drinks, as well as blended Red Bull drinks.

Owner Yolanda Mendoza, who is leasing the space, said she wants to grow the business and expand more into Pasco, as well as show her daughters that anything is possible with the right motivation and effort.

“What I’m looking forward to most is ... being more connected with the community (and) just being a free spirited environment and healthy environment,” Mendoza said.

Lil’ Moon Diner

A West Richland diner has reopened under new ownership.

JD Diner is now Lil’ Moon Diner, according to a social media post from the new owner.

The diner is open from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. Tuesday through Sunday at 3790 W. Van Giesen St.

The restaurant and many menu items are named in honor of the owners’ young daughter, who is battling terminal cancer, according to their website.

Richland Market

A new Saturday Market is opening this weekend in Richland.

The new market will be open from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturdays from July through October. They’re located in the grass area next to the Central United Protestant Church parking lot at 1124 Stevens Dr.

Organizers told the Tri-City Herald that they will have a variety of vendors and small businesses on hand, including painter Consuelo Soto Murphy, photography, custom mugs, jewelry, handmade soaps, body care, flowers, baked goods from Tina’s Tasty Treats, local honey, fresh fruits and vegetables, bacon-wrapped hotdogs, tamales and more.

They’ll be closed on July 30 for Water Follies and Art in the Park.

They hope to be open next spring, according to an Instagram post.
