One of nation’s top rodeos back in Tri-Cities with some new twists. Tickets now on sale

Get ready to cowboy up with this year’s Horse Heaven Round-Up Rodeo.

The Horse Heaven Round-Up Rodeo ranks No. 20 in the Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association, which includes over 820 rodeos and standalone throughout the nation every year.

The rodeo is Aug. 23-27 during the Benton Franklin Fair & Rodeo at the fairgrounds in Kennewick, with contestants competing Tuesday through Friday before the champion announcement Saturday night, according to a news release.

Along with the rodeo, trick roper Rider Kiesner and trick rider Bethany Isles will perform nightly.

Rodeo clown JJ Harrison will entertain the crowd as well, and announcer Roger Mooney plans to make his 25th appearance at the round up this year.

The rodeo will be broadcast, and this year, a tailgate party will be available next to the rodeo grounds so people without tickets can still watch in a social setting.

Tickets are now on sale, and range from $10 to $20. Attendees will need an admission ticket to the fair as well.

Tickets are available online at the Benton Franklin Fair & Rodeo website, as well as in person at the Kennewick Ranch and Home store or the fair office at 812 W. Washington St. in Pasco.
