Kennewick police are investigating an apparent death by suicide of a man who jumped from a third-floor window at a senior living community Wednesday morning.

According to initial reports, the man was found on the lawn about 10 a.m. under an open window at the Parkview Estates complex on the 7800 block of West Sixth Avenue.

Witnesses reported he had fallen from the window.

Emergency responders tried to revive him, but he was pronounced dead at the scene.

Benton County Coroner Bill Leach was called to the scene to help with the investigation.

Kennewick police Lt. Jason Kiel told the Herald there are indications that he died by suicide.
