The driver of one of two cars in a Friday crash on 10th Avenue in Kennewick has died.

At 1 p.m. Friday an SUV and a car collided at the intersection of 10th and Sharron Street, just east of Vancouver Street, said Kennewick police.

One driver, whose airbag deployed, had minor injuries.

The other driver was taken by ambulance to a Tri-Cities hospital and then flown to Harborview Medical center in Seattle, Wash.

The driver died there, said a police news release.

There were no passengers in either car, and a dog in one car was not hurt.
