Trios delivers new birth center to Tri-Cities
Expectant parents, families, community members and staff got a chance to tour the new Trios Birth Center at the hospital’s Southridge campus in Kennewick following a ribbon cutting ceremony.
The new facility, which was funded by a nearly $22 million investment by LifePoint Health, officially opens on March 29.
The opening of the new Trios Birth Center ends a 70-year history of baby deliveries at the original Kennewick General Hospital downtown.
About 1,400 babies are born each year at that Auburn Street facility.
