2 rollover crashes happened on the same Kennewick street. 1 driver is seriously hurt

A Jeep Cherokee flipped into a ditch Wednesday afternoon after the 17-year-old driver lost control on the Bob Olson Parkway in Kennewick.

It was the second wreck in a span of two hours on the twisty, icy street between West Hildebrand Boulevard and West 10th Avenue.

The first, more serious crash, happened about 12:30 p.m.

A woman, believed to be in her 30s, ended up pinned underneath her Chevrolet Trailblazer when she lost control and the SUV rolled, throwing her from the car.

Responding officers and passersby managed to get her out from under the SUV but her injuries were severe, and she was expected to be flown to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle, said police.
