Fire turns Franklin County haystack into inferno
Franklin County emergency crews were called to a haystack fire on Selph Landing Road about 4 a.m. Christmas morning.
The fire burned for hours and sent smoke billowing across the roadway about 10 miles north of Pasco.
Fire units were at the site on the 3400 block of Selph Landing for about 17 hours to keep the flames from spreading while it burned out.
The sheriff’s office is investigating the cause.
