30-acre park to be built near Badger Mountain. Learn more at 2 Richland meetings

Two in-person public meetings are offered in Richland to present the future plans of the West Village Community Park in the development on the south side of Badger Mountain.

The proposed 30-acre park will include a covered and lighted basketball court, sports fields, pickleball courts, a splash pad, zip line and other features, said city officials.

The triangular-shaped park would be near Bella Coola Lane and Trowbridge Boulevard.

The meetings are 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 20, and 5-7 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 14. Both sessions are at the Richland Community Center, 500 Amon Park Dr.

Officials are encouraging the public to attend a meeting and comment or visit the project webpage to review the draft plan and answer a survey.

The survey ends on Dec. 15.
