How to help those affected by Benton and Franklin county fires

United Way of Benton and Franklin Counties has started a fundraiser for those in the region harmed by the wildfires.

The funds will be used to help those who have lost homes and businesses or had to evacuate in areas within Benton and Franklin counties including Kahlotus, Basin City and Whitstran.

United Way is working with the Red Cross to identify partners who can get the support to where its needed most for items such as food, clothing and transportation.

United Way is using MightyCause that help peer-to-peer efforts at mightycause.com/event/bentonfranklinfires.
