Tri-Cities ceremony marks 19th anniversary of 9-11 attacks

Honor guard members from Tri-Cities police, sheriff and fire departments hold a formal flag changing ceremony early Friday at the 9-11 Memorial in Kennewick.

The Tri-Cities is one of a few communities in the U.S. to receive a piece of steel from the World Trade Center destroyed on Sept. 11, 2001.

The memorial was created to honor the citizens, firefighters, law enforcement officers and other emergency workers who died.
