BLM silent bridge march protests wrongful detention

The Black Lives Matter Coalition: Tri-Cities walked across the cable bridge in silence Friday evening to show support for Joe Thornton, a local business owner who was wrongfully detained by police in a Richland parking lot after he was mistaken for a wanted suspect.

The demonstration follows a months-long series of protests nationwide that were sparked by the death of George Floyd in May.
