A 14-year-old boy died and his younger brother was critically injured Tuesday when their ATV collided with a pickup truck near Sunnyside.

The 14-year-old was driving a Polaris ATV on an orchard road and pulled out in front of the Ford pickup, said the Yakima County Sheriff’s Office.

The 18-year-old truck driver from the Sunnyside area was headed south on Wendell Phillips Road when he hit the ATV about 4:40 p.m.
