Stepping up on the Canyon Trail at Badger Mountain
Hikers use the recently completed steps for the Canyon Trail on Badger Mountain off Queensgate Drive near Trail Head Park in south Richland.
The popular 1.4-mile hiking trail climbs 815 feet on the way to the top of the nearly 1,600-foot mountain and is used daily by scores of hikers.
The trail had been closed for an extended time period after an initial attempt in April 2019 to replace the steps stalled.
