Kennewick police studying deadly roundabout crash

Kennewick city surveyors were helping Kennewick police officers Friday measure the area of a deadly crash just before 3 a.m. Thursday at the roundabout on Steptoe Street and West 10th Avenue.

Bricia Villasenor-Botello, 29, of Pasco, a restaurant assistant manager at Panda Express, was driving west on 10th in a Jeep when she drove the wrong-way at the roundabout and launched about 150 feet, crossing a creek, before crashing through backyard fences along West Ninth Place.

She was wearing a seat belt but was killed in the crash.

Police initially do not suspect alcohol was involved but a sample of her blood was sent for testing, said Kennewick Sgt. Matt Newton.
