New place to eat in Kennewick will heat up your breakfast and lunch

A new food truck is adding some spice to downtown Kennewick.

Picante Mexican Taqueria is now serving up some breakfast burritos and lunch on West Columbia Drive.

The black truck with fiery lettering opened this week with a full menu of traditional Mexican favorites.

Picante’s breakfast burritos — stuffed with scrambled eggs, chorizo sausage, potatoes and cheese in a handmade tortilla — are served until 11:30 a.m.

Other menu offerings include tacos, burritos, tortas and quesadillas with toppings like pico de gallo, avocado and pinto beans.

Prices start at $2 a taco (beef, pork, adobada, chicken or soy adobada).

Picante is open at 9 a.m. Monday through Saturday at 419 W. Columbia Drive, just east of Fruitland Street. It’s open until 9 p.m. Friday.
