2 Tri-City area restaurants flunk their food inspections
The Benton Franklin Health District food safety team gave failing scores to two Tri-Cities area restaurants inspected the week of Dec. 14-20.
Eighteen establishments serving food to the public had perfect scores out of the 32 inspections conducted.
In the district’s full inspections, eateries receiving at least 35 points for the more serious red violations are required to have additional inspections and must meet a tougher standard on those.
They must have fewer than 25 red points and a limited number of repeat problems to pass followup inspections.
