Fire burns Richland dog house and people house

Firefighters check the attic of a Richland home on the corner of Abbot Street and Craighill Avenue for flames after a fire that may have started near a dog house Thursday.

No one was home and no animals or people were hurt, said Richland Fire Chief Tom Huntington.

Heat from the 10:30 a.m. fire damaged vinyl siding of a nearby home.

The cause is still under investigation.
