8 Tri-Cities area restaurants fail their health inspections
The Benton Franklin Health District food safety team gave failing scores to eight restaurants and food trucks inspected the week of Dec. 14-20
Twenty-seven restaurants and commercial kitchens passed with a perfect score in a week with 72 inspections conducted.
In the district’s full inspections, eateries receiving at least 35 points for the more serious red violations are required to have additional inspections and must meet a tougher standard on those.
They must have fewer than 25 red points and a limited number of repeat problems to pass.
