Ramping up the repair at Charbonneau Park

An Army Corps of Engineers Tri-Rivers Natural resources crew uses excavators Tuesday during a weeklong repair of the boat ramp at Charbonneau Park on the Snake River.

The park is temporarily closed to replace a mesh block ramp with durable concrete slabs.

Park officials say the ramps are used about 35,000 times each year.

The Ice Harbor Pool has been lowered to a minimal level to allow the work to be completed.
