A power-fall buzz
The vivid yellow flowers of a blossoming rubber rabbitbrush plant create a powerful buzz for honey bees taking advantage of sunny skies and warm daytime temperatures Wednesday at a field in north Richland.
The plants are known to bloom from August to October as other plants are fading, according to the U.S. Forest Service website.
The National Weather Service’s forecast calls for continued sunny conditions through Saturday around the Mid-Columbia.
