Sleepy driver rolls car on I-82 south of Kennewick

A Pasco man was hurt on Labor Day when he fell asleep behind the wheel, causing his Nissan Sentra to roll.

Eugenio Colon, 45, was taken to Trios Southridge Hospital in Kennewick following the 1:50 p.m. Monday crash.

The Washington State Patrol reported that Colon was westbound on Interstate 82, about two miles south of Kennewick, when his Nissan drifted into the median and rolled. The sedan came to rest on its top.

Colon was wearing a seatbelt.

He was cited for second-degree negligent driving, the state patrol said.
