Take a bird walk on reopened Bateman Island
The Lower Columbia Basin Audubon Society plans its first monthly bird walk Saturday on Bateman Island since it has been reopened to the public.
The island has been closed to recover from a fire.
Participants should meet at 7:45 a.m. at the Wye Park on Columbia Park Trail in Richland.
Wear mosquito repellent and hiking shoes, and bring binoculars. Families with children are welcome.
