Crash with Franklin County cow sends 1 to hospital
A collision with a cow in rural Franklin County sent one man to a Spokane hospital early this morning.
Micaela S. Spratling, 27, of Coulee Dam, was heading north on Highway 17 about 6 miles past Mesa in a Lexus IS when she hit a cow in the highway. The car rolled and ended up in the northbound lane, the Washington State Patrol said.
A passenger, Jesse J. Vieira, 28, of Coulee Dam, was taken to Othello Community Hospital and then to Providence-Sacred Heart Medical Center. He is in satisfactory condition.
Spratling and her 1-year-old daughter were not injured.
There was no report on the condition of the cow.
