Popular Kennewick walking area reopens after fire

Kennewick officials reopened Zintel Canyon to walkers after a fire scorched about six acres of the popular recreation area.

Firefighters and city officials determined the Spirit of America Trail between West 15th Avenue and 24th Avenue was safe.

The cause of the fire remains unknown, but firefighters says it was suspicious.
