Driver causes 3-car pileup on Highway 395
An inattentive driver is being blamed for causing a three-vehicle pileup on Highway 395 on Tuesday.
Tracy C. Miller, 39, of Kennewick, was switching lanes on the highway just south of Highway 240 at 4:50 p.m.
She didn’t notice traffic was slowing, according to the Washington State Patrol.
Her Dodge van rear-ended a Toyota Camry and pushed it into a pickup, the state patrol said.
Miller and the pickup’s driver, Blane E. Elvbakken, 57, of Kennewick, were not injured.
The Camry’s driver, Nawal Ahmed-Mohammed, 25, of Kennewick, was treated at Trios Southridge Hospital and released.
The state patrol cited Miller for unsafely changing lanes.
