Travel across Cascade Mountains could be slow on Sunday
Travelers returning from the west side of the state Sunday may have a slow drive.
A winter weather advisory for significant snowfall has been issued for Washington’s Cascade Mountains from 4 a.m. to 10 p.m. Sunday.
“Plan on slippery road conditions,” says the National Weather Service.
Snow accumulation of 4 to 8 inches is expected, with up to 10 inches near the Cascade crest.
The same low pressure system and cold front moving across the Pacific Northwest will bring rain to the Tri-Cities, mainly between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m., according to the weather service.
The day is expected to be breezy in the Tri-Cities, with gusts up to 22 mph. The high should be in the mid 40s.
