Snow is coming. Tri-Cities might have a white Christmas

The National Weather Service forecasts the start of more-typical cold and precipitation for the Tri-Cities.
The temperature is expected to reach a low of 26 degrees.
Friday’s high will be about 35 degrees, with a 40 percent chance of rain and snow, according to the weather service.
Rain will slide into snow as the temperature dives to 20 degrees Friday night, with the chance of snow reaching 50 percent.
Saturday and Christmas Eve are forecast to not break above freezing, with lows in the teens.
Christmas Day brings a chance of rain and snow, with a high temperature of about 28.
Nighttime is forecast to bring — get this — “rain, snow, freezing rain and sleet,” with a low of around 20 degrees.
Agencies such as Benton County Emergency Services are reminding residents that winter driving is hazardous.
