9 of 26 fail in latest round of restaurant inspections
The Benton-Franklin Health District food safety team inspected 26 local establishments during the week that ended Nov. 24.
Of those, nine failed and require follow-up inspections. The remaining passed, including four who earned perfect stores.
The department regularly inspects more than 1,000 licensed food retailers in Benton and Franklin counties for compliance with food safety and sanitation laws.
Establishments are rated on a 418-point scale. Those earning 25 or more red points on routine inspections or 10 or more on a follow-up are subject to additional review.
