Snow is in the forecast for Tuesday night and possibly Wednesday morning in the Tri-Cities.

But you likely won’t need your snow shovel.

The National Weather Service is predicting occasional flurries Tuesday evening until late Wednesday morning.

Temperatures should be around freezing.

Later in the week the weather service continues to predict a chance of freezing rain starting at 5 a.m. Friday and changing to rain later in the morning as temperatures start to warm.

A high in the low 40s is forecast Friday.

Cloudy weather is expected to persist through the weekend, with some possible clearing Monday, according to the early forecast.
