UPDATE: Investigators looking at wood stove in Pasco mobile home fire
A wood burning stove may be the cause of a morning blaze that damaged a Pasco mobile home.
Pasco investigators are trying to determine whether the stove started the fire in the single-wide mobile home at 171 Frontier Drive shortly after 8 a.m. Friday. A police officer spotted smoke billowing from the building, and alerted firefighters.
The fire sent smoke across Highway 395.
Flames were visible when firefighters from Pasco and Franklin County Fire District 3 arrived. They doused it within 15 minutes.
No one was inside when firefighters arrived, said Ben Shearer with the Pasco Fire Department.
