Santa arrives today in downtown Kennewick parade

Santa's Parade starts at 10:30 a.m. Saturday along Kennewick Avenue in downtown Kennewick. The parade will run from Dayton to Auburn streets and will feature 36 different community floats, then activities like selfies with Santa until 2 p.m.

Santa's Parade starts at 10:30 a.m. Saturday along Kennewick Avenue in downtown Kennewick.

The parade will run from Dayton to Auburn streets and will feature 36 different community floats.

The event continues until 2 p.m. in the heated tent sponsored by McCurley Integrity at the downtown “Claus Plaza” on Kennewick Avenue.

There will be selfies with Santa and Mrs. Claus, Santa's Giftshop, outdoor skating rink, hayrides, Polar Express readings, kids activities, holiday gift shopping and more.

The first annual event is organized by the city of Kennewick. They’re hoping to make it a holiday tradition.
