The Finley family caught in a home fire Wednesday remains in serious condition at Harborview Medical Center in Seattle.

Vitalina Birrueta-Moreno, 40, was asleep in her home with her three children when a lit candle fell into a bathtub, said Benton County Fire District 1 officials.

Birrueta-Moreno, her 9-year-old daughter and 12-year-old son were taken to Harborview. Her son suffered second-degree burns on his head, hands and arms, and Birrueta-Moreno inhaled a lot of smoke.

The damage to the home at 203106 E. Bowles Road was contained to the bathroom and a bedroom. Officials said the home had no smoke detectors.
