7 fail restaurant inspections, 1 turns it around the next day
Seven establishments failed inspections by the Benton-Franklin Health District’s food safety team, though one passed a re-inspection the next day with flying colors.
Inspectors visited 27 establishments during the week of Oct. 21-27. Of those, 10 received perfect scores on the review for safe food handing practices.
The team regularly inspects licensed food service establishments in Benton and Franklin counties, scoring them on a 418-point system that covers food safety and sanitation regulations. Those earning 25 or more red points on routing inspections or 10 or more on follow-ups are scheduled for additional inspections.
